At Heritage we value each person as a unique creation of God. We believe each person has purpose and potential to fulfill God's will in the world. Our desire is to facilitate each student's spiritual growth in an intentional and encouraging manner. We do this through a variety of activities.
Every student attends weekly chapels that are age-group specific, in order to meet students at their level. Each elementary class conducts a chapel once per semester showcasing what they are learning in class about their walk with God. In secondary chapels, students have the opportunity to help lead praise and worship and listen to inspiring yet challenging teaching.
Our chaplains conduct regular youth groups for both middle school and high school in a variety of formats to keep youth group fresh and meaningful. We also offer discipleship groups for secondary boys and girls.
Mission Trips/Service Projects
Each grade level from Kindergarten through Grade 12 partcipates in either a mission trip or service project depending on the grade, exposing the students to a wide variety of situations and ministry opportunities. In the past, students have visisted widows, conducted human trafficking awareness talks with refugees, ministered in local schools, made cards for hospital patients, and more!
Secondary students particpate in a retreat during the first semester to provide an opportunity to connect with God and each other at an off-site retreat center. The students participate in swimming, sports, and special games designed especially to foster team-building and relationship growth. We have a guest speaker and extended worship times. It is always special to see how God uses this time to bring students closer to Him and to one another.
